Great local company that delivers quality, fast service when an issue with electrical or data is reported. The linemen are willing to go to great lengths to ensure they do not get called back to a site, including rerunning wire, calling in to technical support, calling other providers who have cables that may be effected, cutting back tree branches BEFORE they fall, and I could go on. Contrary to one reviewer municipal ISPs are virtually our only hope against the erosion of net neutrality. By nature they must be pro NN in order to survive the market.

Convenient business hours (only town office open late on Thursdays!), friendly staff, affordable electric rates. They even give you a discount if you pay early.

Braintree Electric Light Department (BELD) is one of 41 municipal light departments organized under Massachusetts General Laws chapter 164, and one of more than 2,200 municipally owned light departments in the country. BELD is recognized locally and nationally as an innovator in technology and new services. In 2000, after running a new hybrid fiber coax network throughout the town, the department began offering High-Speed Internet service to Braintree residents. Over the following years, that was expanded to include cable television and phone services to both residents and businesses in town.
